Andrew Fousek

Well first let me start off by telling you everything important about me that you need to know. Wait for it…and…yep there is nothing of importance pertaining to me. At all. Not in the slightest. I have no sweet credentials for this job like working for the school paper as a sports writer, or being in radio.
In terms of my sports background; well, I like them and I follow the main sports rather closely. I now actively play on a softball team in which I excel in two specific areas; I turn a mean double play and I always find a way to muff the easiest plays. I also am about to start the basketball season in which I play in like, division 500 or something horrible. There, I rock out on defense and shoot nothing but three’s (at about a 10% clip). I also enjoy throwing my 5′ 8″, 140 lbs frame at rebounds where I have no business being, and usually end up on the deck as a result.
That being said, I am very thankful for this opp0rtunity that Mike has extended to me. I will enjoy following things like the circus that is Manny, the Rangers hitting a ton and forgetting about pitching for the 75th straight year, and waiting for Ken Griffey Jr. to miss half of another season when he hits a towering home run with that beautiful swing of his, only to have his leg fall off at the knee when he rounds second.
While I have no official sports writing resume, I do have a background in writing. I have worked for film festivals reviewing movies, and I am currently a full time freelance writer ghostwriting, article writing, blogging, etc. I am currently double-majoring at Cleveland State University (the Vikings made me very proud this year) in journalism and also in film.
That’s about it. Oh, and I love the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers, as well as the aforementioned CSU Vikings. I also will root for and follow other teams that I picked to be surprisingly good, e.g. this year’s Oakland A’s. I hope you enjoy reading about my observations and opinions. Talk to you soon.
